Introducing the Tapering/Jointing Jig Plans
What does it mean to joint a board? Jointing a board means to cut a perfectly straight edge that is 90 degrees to the face of that board. This jig does just that along with cutting tapers.
Key Features:
- Simple and Reliable Design: This classic design is minimal, effective, and easy to build.
- No Expensive Materials: You only need one sheet of ¾" plywood and a few inexpensive hardware pieces like T-bolts, knobs, and clamps.
- Fully Adjustable Fence: The included hold-down clamps allow the fence to adjust anywhere along the jig, and they work with both thick and thin stock.
- Works Off Your Table Saw Fence: No miter slot or runner required. This jig references your table saw fence, making it quick to set up and use on any saw.
- Repeatable Cuts: The included stop block makes repeatable tapered cuts simple and accurate. Great for legs, edges, and cleanup cuts.
- Beginner Friendly: Whether you're new to woodworking or a seasoned pro, this jig is useful, dependable, and fun to build.
- Detailed Instructions: My plans come with comprehensive written and video instructions, guiding you through each step of the construction process.
