Have not built it yet. Plans look good though
I still haven't quite finished this build, as I made a mistake. I accidentally reversed the "front" and "back" fences and made the cuts. I'll reuse the fences, but had to make a new sled base and runners.
Front and back might be standard terms, but I made the mistake of thinking "Front" was relative to me, not the saw. From that perspective, "front" would be closest to me, and "back" would be furthest. Reality is that "front" goes into the blade first, and "back" goes in last.
I can't come up with a better solution. A note or warning might have helped, but then you're filling your nice plans with warnings everywhere to catch every possible mistake someone might make.
I only have the stop block to finish. I found the instructions to be clear otherwise, and look forward to using the sled on the Drill and Sanding Station. Gotta get this garage in order!
Simple easy to follow instructions plus the youtube video is very helpful for visual learning.
I must admit this is the best plan thus far I have seen for my new Dewalt I am a 77 year old late bloomer woodworker Recently had a total knee replacement and unable to get down the steep steps to my shop so when I am able I will make it Thank you
I havent built the crosscut sled yet, but the instructions and videp were clear and easy to understand.
