I need to find ways to save space in my small garage workshop so I created the Middleweight Folding Workbench. This mid-sized workbench folds up easily when I don’t need it, giving me valuable floor space to assemble furniture pieces, use other power tools, play darts, or do anything else I want. This is small enough to not get in the way of other tasks I need to get done, but big enough to give me a large work surface for sawing, assembling, or to be used as an outfeed table. This workbench is sturdy with a solid table-top, and with the retractable casters it’s also mobile. It was a conscious decision to not put lockable casters on the bottom of the legs because I found this makes for a wobbly bench. With these retractable casters I am able to retract them when I want this workbench to stay put and with the 3” X 3 ½” legs firmly planted on the ground, this bench is nice and sturdy. This build uses minimal power tools and is perfect for a beginner. The video plans will consist of me building this without the use of an existing workbench in case this is your first workbench build.
