Introducing the Precision Spline Jig Plans

Without splines, your picture frames and boxes are vulnerable. Miter joints simply don’t provide the tensile strength needed over time, and they can crack or separate under stress. But with splines, you dramatically reinforce those joints, locking everything together to prevent failure.

Key Features:

  • Form‑Fitting Support: Designed with precision, the vertical panel and angled wood holders keep the work piece at a perfect 45° angle every time.
  • Repeatable Performance: Once adjusted, the jig holds settings securely, so you can slice multiple splines at identical depths and widths.
  • Compact Size: This jig measures 16” X 16”  so this is perfect for a small space.
  • Limited Tools Required: This build does not require you to have many tools at all and the tools this does require do not need to be fancy.
  • Versatility for All Skill Levels (especially beginners): Whether you're a beginner honing your skills or an advanced builder looking for a practical addition to your workspace, these plans cater to all skill levels. The detailed instructions ensure a smooth construction process from start to finish.
  • Detailed Instructions: My plans come with comprehensive written and video instructions, guiding you through each step of the construction process.

How the Precision Spline Jig Works:

  1. Secure your picture frame or small box in the jig.
  2. Run the jig through your table saw.
  3. Drop in your spline with glue. Trim flush and sand. Instant joint reinforcement.
