i first ordered the instructions for the compact design. Looking at the size of my miter saw and the cut list in the instructions I realized I was going to have to make adjustments. My miter saw was to big. I started reading the instructions from the beginning and there it was, plans for a larger miter saw. I have a bad habit of rarely reading the introduction of anything and just getting to the main source. I emailed Thomas and the very next day I had the plans for the larger size miter saw. No extra fees, no problems and plans the very next day. With the plans I ordered came a video, also without an extra charge where Thomas goes into detail about building this miter saw station. The plans with the video makes this build go very smoothly. Very pleased!
Very easy step by step instructions. video helpful.
I thought the cut out drawing was great.
I made the mistake of usine 1/2 inc. plywood to make the build lighter.
This material warps more easily so the assembly is more difficult.
The brackets work great when theycome out of the box. But once installed, even a slightly misalignement causes the mechanism to not fold as easily, I was disappointed by that. May be a short warning in the video would be helpful.
(My next purchase is the flip-over stand!).
just got supplies to start the build!!
